I was dropped from CLI due to an expired APFT–will I be promoted once that’s fixed?
I was on the CLI for June, but did not get my promotion because my APFT had expired. I got it fixed and my PPW now says I am eligible. Will I still get promoted?
Greetings from Afghanistan!
That’s a tricky question. The date of the APFT that was inputted would have to be taken into consideration–especially if there was a gap. An issue like this would have to go to HRC and the most accurate answer would come from them.
Work with your S1 on this one and make sure to provide details of your APFT including the date the new one was entered into the system and the date the last one expired.
Professional recommendation: keep up with everything regarding your promotion. It’s YOUR promotion and simple occurences can sometimes be a deal breaker. I hate to see deserving Soldiers get passed up for promotion due to technicalities that could have been prevented.
